- It exist a very good emulator for Arcade machines named MAME.
- the Playstation 2 emulator PCSX 2 is getting better and better.
- the WII emulator named Dolphin works really fine with it's light gun games.

Start using MAME
- First you have to download MAME.
- Next you have to install a window based frontend for MAME to have no to work with a command line.
You can install for example MAMEUI which you can find here: http://mameui.info. MameUI contains a list of all available games. The games are separated by folders. It exist one folder which contain all light gun games.
On this site you will find also a good collection of icons and snapshots. Use them with MAMEUI. Configure MAMEUI the way that it can access the icon folder and snapshot folder. - Then you have to download a MAME Artwork compilation. MameUI can be configured to see most of the content of the Artwork collection within the application self.
- To play a game using your light gun/mouse you have to configure the game to use mouse input. Select a light gun game press right mouse button choose "Properties". Click on tab "Controllers" and select "Enable mouse input".
- Next you need the games files which are named ROM and CHD files

Configuration to use mouse as light gun in Virtua Cop 2Configuration -> Controller -> Plugin
Choose in Group "Mouse API"
- select - Raw input (XP and Later only)
- unselect - Start without mouse focus
Select Group "Left Analog Stick"
- Press button "UP" (move mouse to button "Up" and press "enter") move mouse up
- Press button "Down" (move mouse to button "Down" and press "enter") move mouse down
- Press button "Left" (move mouse to button "Left" and press "enter") move mouse left
- Press button "Right" (move mouse to button "Right" and press "enter") move mouse right
And the end the configuration should look like this
L-Button - Square - Shoot
R-Button - Circle - Reload Gun
M-Button -
X Axis + = L-Stick Right
X Axis - = L-Stick Left
Y Axis + = L-Stick Down
Y Axis - = L-Stick Up
Other buttons should be assigned to your gamepad
Dolphin - WII Emulator
To start playing WII games on PC you need the following:- Bluetooth Adapter (Recomended: >=2.1
- WII Motion Plus/Wiimote Device (Note: Motion Plus is not yet supported. It will be only recognized as Wiimote)
- wireless sensor bar
- Nunchuk (Depending on the game)
